Each week, District 16 Toastmasters Clubs have meetups throughout Oklahoma that provide opportunities to develop public speaking, communication, and leadership skills. This meetup group is for the eastern Oklahoma clubs in Tulsa and surrounding areas
Every Toastmasters club provides a supportive and positive learning experience in which members are empowered to develop communication and leadership skills, resulting in greater self-confidence and personal growth. Additionally, District 16 Oklahoma Toastmasters has various workshops, conferences and other special events throughout the year. Be a guest at any of the Toastmasters Meetup locations and learn how the Toastmasters educational program and positive learning environment can help people overcome the fear of public speaking, improve communication skills, and become better leaders at work, home and within our communities.
District 16 Toastmasters has more than 90 clubs throughout Oklahoma. Toastmasters International is a non-profit educational organization that teaches public speaking and leadership skills through a worldwide network of clubs. The Torchlighters Toastmasters Club #2942 in Tulsa, Oklahoma helps build leaders, strengthen communication skills, hone listening skills and enhance self-confidence.
Torchlighters is an open, public club. We are pleased to welcome members from all walks of life.
We meet every Monday (except Holidays) from 11:45 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. at Asbury Church, 6767 S. Mingo Road, room 2820. Please enter through the South Entrance and follow the Toastmasters signs to our second-floor meeting room.
We will not meet on Holidays. The 2024 Holidays that fall on Mondays are:
January 1, 2024 - New Year's Day
January 15, 2024 - Martin Luther King, Jr. Day
February 19, 2024 - President's Day
September 2, 2024 - Labor Day
October 14, 2024 - Indigenous People's Day.The club currently holds hybrid meetings via Zoom. The in-person location is at Asbury Church in Tulsa. (6767 S. Mingo Road, room 2820)
