First Day Hike at Beltzville State Park

Details

Join the Friends of Beltzville and park staff as we hike from the Beltzville State Park Environmental Interpretive Center (EIC) to the tower on top of the dam, culminating in a scenic view of Beltzville Lake.

This is a dog friendly hike, and well-behaved pets on a leash are welcome to attend. This hike is approximately 3.5 miles in length, so plan accordingly, bring plenty of water, and wear warm layers and comfortable footwear. This easy hike has durable gravel, grass, and dirt surfaces.

The Friends Group will also be holding a Children's Candy Cane Hunt prior to the program, starting at 12:30pm. Sign-ins will be held near the playground field by Parking Lot B, near the Environmental Interpretive Center. This is a free event, although donations are greatly appreciated to support future events and enrich our community offerings! Please visit the event page located here, for more information:Children's Candy Cane Hunt - DCNR Calendar of Events

For last minute changes/cancelations due to weather or other circumstances, please check the Friends of Beltzville Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/beltzvillestateparkfriends/), the DCNR Calendar of Events page (First Day Hike - DCNR Calendar of Events), or contact the park office at 610-377-0045.

We'll be meeting at the Environmental Interpretive Center (EIC) for the hike. Please note that limited parking is available at the EIC. Additional parking is available in Parking Lot C, near the beach, or Parking Lot B.
