What we’re about
As climate change and environmental destruction become increasingly evident, many of us are finding it hard to take in. It seems so big, so unstoppable, so out of our control, with governments and corporations not responding with any sense of urgency. For those of us who are meditators, Buddhist, or Buddhist-curious -- how can our practice help to find our way (and find some peace) in this time of difficulty?
As the One Earth Sangha (unaffiliated) website says: "...the Buddhist tradition offers significant, largely untapped resources that can support us in bringing wisdom, compassion, courage, creativity, flexibility, and a steady resolve to our inter-related ecological and social crises. The Dharma’s transformative insights help us understand the root causes of our challenge, how we can remain steady as it unfolds, and how we might skillfully respond."
Join us on Friday evenings for talks, discussion, readings and videos exploring the interconnectedness between these two areas of life -- and how it can help us find a balanced, sustainable way to respond to changes in the world.
