What we’re about

The Elk Grove Historical Society's mission is to gather, preserve, and share the history of the community. We have the Tom Russell Research Center that contains a lot of historical subject matter and residents of the area and is open to the public. It is located in Heritage Park, an area of the Elk Grove Regional Park containing three museums, The Elk Grove House & Stage Stop, The Foulks House, and the San Joaquin Township Justice Court and Jail. They host Free 1st Saturday tours as well as annual events like the Spring Tea (May), 4-day Yard Sale (June), Founders Day (September), Black Tie & Santa and An Old Fashion Christmas (December). And we always appreciate volunteers to help with the many activities. Go to our website (elkgrovehistoricalsociety.com) to read about history and the Elk Grove Historical Society.
