What we’re about
This is a workshop that will teach participants to appreciate their bodies as conveyers of emotions and receivers and channelers of energies from nature. It will teach classical mime exercises to extend range of motion and dynamics of motion like undulation, and isolation or fixed point to achieve mime illusions for storytelling purposes. It will also delve into improvisation, clowning, laughter yoga, sketch comedy, and chi gong exercises. Participants can try a $20 class for openers, then they are eligible to purchase a 5 class card for $100. The classes will run 2 hours at the Helen Hayes Youth Theater Studios in Nyack, New York.
Bernard Kramer, the teacher, has an over 50 year involvement with the art of movement and performing, having worked at Celebration Mime Theater in South Paris Maine, under the aegis of Tony Montanaro, and also worked with Marcel Marceau, Moni Yakim, Claude Kipness, Michael Henry, Bert Houle, and Samuel Avital.
I'm looking forward to working with you and sharing the fun! Classes will start April 26th, scheduled from 2-4 on Fridays.
