What we’re about

Welcome to 20 & 30-Somethings New to Sacramento, the area's longest-standing social meetup group for young adults. We are an active, social group of mostly-transplants who enjoy getting together and meeting other newcomers for happy hours, brunches, movie nights, hiking, river floating, and various other forms of mischief. If you like to have fun and are looking to make new friends in a new town, then we'd love to meet you.

Whether you’re new to town, just staying for a few months, or coming back from college/living abroad, we all are/have been in the same boat and would love for you to come join us! So get off your couch and come hang out! All the cool kids are already doing it, so you might as well fold under peer pressure and join us as well. (Sorry, bad jokes are part of our folksy charm.)

Our regular meetup schedule includes board game nights, happy hours, and weekend events and partying, with plenty of other activities smattered in between.

Been in Sac your whole life? Lots of regulars in the meetup are long-time Sacramentans - we want to meet you too! Don't drink? Don't worry! We are friendly and welcoming to all, even if our event is at a bar. Our organizers and hosts are hand-selected to provide the most friendly and welcoming environment you could imagine.

Got an idea for a cool event or want to host one yourself? Send a message to the organizers and let us know!

Before you go, please check out these ground rules to help get you started:

  1. Please respect everyone else in the group and please do not make anyone feel uncomfortable. It’s kind of a no-brainer, I think this is the first thing that should be written down. We’ve been drama-free since our inception and would like to keep it that way. It's tough enough to come out and be social with strangers, so please make it so that everyone else feels as welcomed as you'd want to feel the first time you joined! If you ever feel like someone is making you uncomfortable, either through the app or at an event, please reach out to an organizer or the event host and let them know!

  2. Please don't promote your business. This group is for fun and no one wants to be spammed—we get enough of that in our inboxes as it is!

  3. This is not a dating group. We all know that magic in the air, and if you come out to an event to make friends and then meet someone special in the group who also digs you, well that's great. But if you come out with the sole intention of picking someone up, then this group isn't for you. And trust me, we can all tell if you're doing so.

  4. Above all, have fun and have a blast! We encourage people to make connections at these events that they can take through the meetup group and beyond. Don't be afraid to stay in contact with the people you meet through this app - you never know who is going to become a lifelong friend!

Thanks for taking the time to read, and hope to see everyone at the next event!
