What weâre about
412 Social Hour and Cocktails is a group for anyone that is in their 20s/30s/40s and looking to meet new people in the Pittsburgh area. The goal is to create a welcoming environment where members can mingle and talk over a couple drinks.
We are a social group geared towards making different kinds of connections (friends, dating, networking, etc). We will be organizing groups to meet at bars/restaurants and attend events around the city.
We plan to schedule at least two events per month.
Group Policies
We encourage everyone to be kind and respectful. Any aggressive or excessively rude behavior will not be tolerated. Everyone is here to have fun in a safe environment.
If you see or experience harassment or other unacceptable behavior from another member of the group, please let an organizer know (in person or by private message) so that the problem person can be dealt with. If you receive any private messages during or after a meetup that you are not comfortable with also please let us know.
If you cannot make it to an event you've signed up for, please be sure to update your RSVP attendance status (Going / Not Going) as a courtesy to other members and the Organizers. This allows us to better plan for the event, especially for events with limited attendance.

Highmark Light Up Night is back! Join us on Saturday, November 23, 2024, for the 63rd-anniversary celebration of this anticipated annual Pittsburgh event. With classic traditions, fresh holiday experiences, and an expanded fireworks finale, itâs an evening you wonât want to miss!

PLAN FOR THE EVENING:
âď¸5:30 PM: Meet at Market Square to explore the Christmas Market, see the Santas, and grab food from the many vendors.
âď¸6:00 PM: Watch the Unity Tree lighting at Fifth Avenue Place with a brief rooftop fireworks display. (Hint: Last year, this ran a bit late!)
âď¸8:00 PM: Head to the music stage to enjoy some songs from the featured acts, including the headlinerâThe Fray!đąđ¤
âď¸9:30 PM: End the night with the grand fireworks finale!There will be downtime, so feel free to come and go. Weâll update our location every 30 minutes in the appâs comment section and group chat, so you can always find us. Hope to see you there!

IF IT'S YOUR FIRST TIME (or Itâs Been Awhile), HERE'S WHAT TO EXPECT!- Parking in the Market Square area will be very limited.
- Traffic will be heavy and slow-moving downtown, so plan to avoid driving through the area.
- Expect long lines for bathrooms and food in Market Squareâplan accordingly!
PARKING & TRANSPORTATION TIPS:
- Consider parking a bit further away (about a 5-10 minute walk to Market Square).
- One option that has worked well in the past (4 minutes from Market Square) is Boulos Parking, Point State Park, 601 Commonwealth Pl, Pittsburgh, PA 15222 .
- Park along a bus line and take public transportation downtown.
- Expect longer wait times and higher prices for rideshares like Uber/Lyft, especially after the fireworks.
Weâll do our best to post our location for those arriving later or stepping away, but smaller groups may split off during the night.
