Hi Everyone,
With the holidays around the corner, it’s a meaningful time to give back, especially to those who might feel a bit lonely, like our senior community members. I’m excited to share that Rebel Reads Bookstore will be making a donation to the local senior community, and I am hoping our Book Club for Fun members will also be contributing to this cause.
We will gather for dinner and discuss Comfort and Joy by Kristin Hannah, a heartfelt story that’s perfect for the season. During our gathering, I’ll also be collecting books to prepare for donation. If you’d like to participate, please bring a wrapped book to contribute. It doesn’t have to be new—feel free to bring a book you’ve already read and are ready to pass on, one from a local free library, or even a gently used book from a library sale. No need to go overboard on spending!
RSVPs are required, as I will need to give a strict headcount to the restaurant, and it is their busy season. Even if you aren’t able to attend but would like to donate, I’d be happy to meet up somewhere prior to the dinner to collect your contribution. I’m planning on dropping the books off before Christmas, so there’s plenty of time to get involved.
If you have any questions, feel free to reach out. Looking forward to seeing everyone in December and making this a meaningful holiday season for all!
