Lecture: "The Meaning of Sangha"
Wednesday 20 November, 2024 - 7:30pm
"The third refuge is Sangha, friends on the way. They are the group of people with whom we develop in our Buddhist practice. Surrounding oneself as much as possible with advanced people, and sharing similar values is important on the way. Developing together with close friends is simply the best."
- Lama Ole Nydahl, The Way Things Are
In this lecture we will talk about the role of our friends on the way, traditionally called "the Sangha". The lifeblood of Diamond Way centers is friendship and idealism, and with meditation being the foundation of Buddhist practice, support from one other is essential.
