What we’re about
Join us for fun, silly social activities and meet others of our generation. We anticipate a variety of activities purely in the spirit of fun and mixing it up, such as a bowling night, a billiards night, a volleyball night, plenty of old-fashioned happy hours, beach bocce, a mini golf night perhaps with some pizza before or after…you get the idea. The emphasis will not be on how well we bowl or shoot pool—it will be on having some laughs and getting to know each other. We’ll plan to be simply awful at each of these endeavors and we’ll look forward to laughing at ourselves and making new friends.
So join our group. Come to some events. Meet some new people and have some laughs! Please be a fun-spirited GenXer or at least GenX-Adjacent.
Congratulations! This is The One! Your endless searching has paid off and you've found the most fun group on the planet. Now stop searching, hit the join button, get off your derrière and start living your life!!!
PLEASE RESPECT OUR AGE REQUIREMENT. By limiting the group to Gen Xers we can all be assured that we are meeting people we are each close to in age. Since a specific age group is the very stated reason for the group, we will follow the age guidelines strictly.
WE FOLLOW THESE GUIDELINES STRICTLY:
- All members MUST be a true GenXer born between 1965 and 1980.
- If you are joining with a significant other, your significant other must be at least "GenX Adjacent" as we will define as born at least within 3 years of that range (1962-1983). This will help keep our group closer in age.
- If you bring a guest to an event, your guest must also be at least GenX Adjacent (born 1962-1983).
- We will not approve requests to join if there is no profile picture of a real person and or a legitimate name. A first name or last name only is sufficient, but believe it or not some people try to join with a name such as "X" and no profile pic--a bit too sketchy for us. Thank you for understanding.
- If your request to join is denied, it is because one of these guidelines was not met.
A special note about Covid-19, updated 6/9/21: Some of us are vaccinated and some of us may not be. We each must make our own decisions about what is safe and what is not in these uncharted times. We will try to plan as many outdoor activities as possible. If our indoor activities appear to be getting too popular we may impose a limit on group size to help alleviate concerns. As we emerge from the pandemic we will continually revisit and update this guidance.
