What we’re about
Photography based on planned projects.
The Gold Coast SLR Photography Meetup Group (GDP) is for anyone who loves taking photos using their digital SLR. Our meet-ups will be opportunities for people to learn, hang out together, make friends, and have some fun. We plan on choosing a variety of projects to complete - from macro to wide, wild life, portraits or what ever members want using 'Ideas'. Venues may change later but primarily it will be based at the Gold Coast Region.
We are honest and open; we tolerate different opinions; we respect other’s cultural viewpoints; we try to pass on knowledge and expertise; we try to bring something constructive to each topic; we express disagreement in a reasoned and reasonable manner.
In order for your membership to be approved, you must currently own a digital SLR (Read which type of cameras are accepted and which ones aren't?) and we really prefer that your upload your profile portrait / close-up photo of YOU as (Click for reasoning here). You can see photo examples here - not a pet, avatars, masks, icons, cartoon characters, animals etc. and ALL profile questions must be answered. Please answer relevant Profile Questions as accurately as possible. If you need to, please log in and amend them. I recommend also you read and agree to 'GDP Rules & Policies, and Terms of Service' prior to joining.
Don't forget to check out our "Upcoming Meetups" section every time you visit GDP. You can find "Upcoming Meetups" section under the navigation "Meetups". Please also do not forget to read our "GDP Rules & Policies, and Terms of Service" under 'Discussions > Message Board > Welcome Forum - NEW MEMBERS Start here!' section.
We also have a great selection of VIDEO section where you can find tutorials for your brand camera, advice on how to take good pictures, Tips and tricks used, debth of field, flash and many more explained. All can be found here at Discussions > Message Board > The Gold Coast SLR Photography Message Board . Click to visit the link any time, you won't regret it and most of your questions will be answered there for you.
Thank you!!!
Hope to see you then!
