ADK Onondaga Chapter Outings

Let’s take a late fall hike on these trails in Marcellus. This is a nature preserve under the Central New York Land Trust. We will hike a series of trails, which encompass some ups and downs in open meadows and woods. We will first traverse several of the newest trails including the Harrison Loop, Meadow, Rim, Wagon and Bluebird Trails. This is about 3 miles. We will have an option to extend the hike after exploring these trails for those who want a bit more mileage (approximately 2 miles).
Speed will be moderate. Bring snacks/lunch/water. Leader suggests good hiking footwear and/or poles to navigate trails. The weather conditions look to be moderate without rain, ice or snow, but come prepare if this changes in next few days.
Let's meet up at the large upper parking lot at Baltimore Woods and take a hike!

Hiking Plan: We'll walk in Morgan Hill SF about 4 miles. We'll start with an uphill walk, pass a waterfall, but end with a long winding downhill.
Meeting Places:

• We'll meet at 10:30 in Dewitt at Hobby Lobby parking area for shuttling
• Alternatively, at approx 11 AM at the big parking lot on Shackham Rd. corner Onondaga One Rd. (Driving south from Rt. 80, it's the first dirt cross road. If you get to Shackham Pond, you've gone too far south.)

Wear bright colors, it's hunting season (Sigi saw an Ollie's ad with orange knit hats for 4.99)
Bring lunch or snacks and water. hiking poles might help
