- Alligator Amblers Monthly Meeting with SpeakerEstero Recreation Center, Estero, FL
Our next meeting will be Thursday, November 21st at Estero Recreation Center, 9200 Corkscrew Palms Blvd, Estero, Florida from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm. This meeting, like all our meetings, is open to the public.
Brittany Piersma, the Field Biologist for Audubon of Western Everglades, will give a presentation on shore birds. She will also demonstrate how to care for injured birds or animals prior to their transportation to either the von Arx Center (for Collier County) or the CROW clinic (for Lee County). This will be a interesting and very useful presentation.

The Gordon River Greenway passes through a mangrove forest alongside the Gordon River. Although this pathway is close to many tourist attractions in Naples, it has abundant natural features and wildlife. This will be a leisurely walk along a pathway that is a combination of a paved walkway and a raised boardwalk. Depending on ground conditions, we may take an optional unpaved half mile walk through a mangrove forest.What to Bring:
Bring two quarts of water, a sun hat, and bug spray. Long sleeve shirts, pants, and close-toed shoes recommended. Binoculars and camera suggested.Activity Level:
