ASL Sunday Silent Social at Fairfax's Wegmans
Details
Whether you're Deaf, HoH, an interpreter, or an ASL student we welcome all levels of signers to come join us for an evening of ASL socializing and practice.
This event occurs on the first and third Sundays of each month, in the heart of Fairfax County at Wegman's (corner of Route 29 and Monument Drive). We can be found on the upper level, typically near the stairs. We generally start at 7 pm.
For ASL beginners, NVRC will host a beginners ASL Class table. This is specifically for those just starting to learn ASL or who are not comfortable in the larger group. To join the conversation group, it is recommended you know the ASL alphabet and some basic signs as these are not ASL classes. Regardless, we are always welcoming so don’t be discouraged to attend an event; this is very informal.
Note, some attendees arrive early and grab some of Wegman’s food for dinner, so you can combine a shopping trip with the ASL practice.
Every 3rd Sunday of the month until April 29, 2025
