A society consists of like-minded people governed by their own norms and values within a dominant, larger environment- Welcome to the Atlanta Rock & Metal Society!
This meetup group is a judgement free zone, designed for all metro Atlanta fans of rock and metal music to come together and enjoy all things rock! What’s not to love about going to see great live shows with some good friends, right? We plan events that take us to a variety of the greatest live venues that Atlanta has to offer, as well as other gatherings that will allow us to chill and socialize as a group.
In the spirit of building a true Society we have a few basic rules:
• We require that all members attend at least one event in each calendar year, this is a MeetUp group after all!
• In the event that you amass 3 no-shows, we will give you the boot! It's inconsiderate and downright rude to stand up you fellow Society Members!
• We also require each user include a photo in their profile so that we may be able to identify you when you come to events.

Fun fact: Before launching her solo career, Sasami Ashworth was a member of the band Cherry Glazerr and has also composed music for television and film.
Chokecherry: Chokecherry is an indie rock band with roots in the Midwest, known for their gritty, garage rock sound. Their music is filled with catchy hooks, jangly guitars, and a DIY spirit that captures the essence of classic indie rock. Fun fact: The band takes its name from the chokecherry tree, a common sight in their home region, symbolizing both their connection to their roots and the bittersweet nature of their music.

🍻🎉 Ride the Ale Trail with A.R.M.S.! (formerly the Beer Bus) 🎉🍻
Ready for an adventure packed with brews and good times? 🤘 We’ll meet up at Red Hare on the Square where we will pick up our Ale Trail passports and enjoy some food and pre-bus drinks 🍔🍺. We will have plenty of time to find parking and grab some lunch, but don't be too late, because the bus leaves at 1:25pm sharp!
Once we're fueled up, we'll hop on the Ale Trail bus 🚌💨 and head over to Schoolhouse Brewing for beer tastings, board games, and chilling with the squad! 🍻
Next, we roll over to the Viking Alchemist Meadery 🍯⚔️, where we'll enjoy some mead fit for the gods 🛡️🍷. When we’ve had our fill, we’ll ride back to Red Hare to wrap up this epic journey! 🚌🍻
