What we’re about
**** Note: You need to be Jewish to attend our events ****
The Havurah is a warm environment open to Jewish singles in the Bay Area to make friends and connections. We're an active, fun group of people, in our 40's to 60's, who are looking to meet other great Jewish singles and enjoy events together.
A group started by and intended for single Jewish men and women living in the Greater Bay Area and San Jose to share in Jewish cultural events, Jewish holidays, and meet for various fun activities. For ages 35 - 65.
We hold a variety of events that enable members to mingle and meet – from hiking, happy hours, and going to Jewish cultural events to Shabbat potluck dinners, Sunday brunches, and movie nights. If you have an idea for an event anywhere in the Bay Area that you would like to organize, please let the leadership team know and we can discuss co-hosting it.
Friends, the Havurah asks two things of new members.
- The events of the Bay Area Jewish Singles Havurah are for Jewish singles only. This is one of the few venues for us to meet each other. Come join us and meet other Jewish singles from around the Bay Area! We're looking forward to meeting you.
- Please make sure that your Meetup profile name includes your first name, not just an initial, and a picture (not a cartoon). This will help other members greet you at events and is for overall group safety.

We return to the beautiful Picchetti Ranch Preserve and Winery for another scenic hike and picnic lunch outing.
Join us for both parts of this event, or just the hike or the lunch.
Date: Sunday, November 17, 2024
Time : 11am- 1:30pm
Hike Location: Picchetti Ranch Preserve | Midpeninsula Regional Open Space District
13100 Montebello Rd, Cupertino, CA 95015.- This 308-acre preserve features 3.7 miles of trail, the historic Picchetti Winery and surrounding homestead. Forested canyons of madrone, coast live oak and California bay provide shade on a warm day, and on a clear day, the Sierra Azul range, crowned by Mount Umunhum, is visible to the south through a break in the trees.
Parking: please park in the preserve parking lot, not the winery parking lot.
Where to meet:
- We'll meet in the preserve parking lot- at the opposite end from where you drove in.
Trail info:
- We will hike part of the Zinfandel trail for an hour and a half. This is an intermediate trail that ducks into the forest and crosses several creeks. It is mostly flat but does have some up and down hill sections. map_PI.pdf (openspace.org)
Notes:
- Please bring water, sunscreen, and layer clothing.
- The bathroom is located in back of the winery.
- If you are running late, please follow the trail head from the parking lot, around the right side of the winery and keep taking the Zinfandel trail straight through the preserve. We will be hiking the same trail there and back, so you will catch up to us.
- Cell phone reception and internet/ WiFi signal strength is limited at the preserve so ability to monitor Meetup messages will be limited.
LUNCH: 12:30-1:30pm (approximately)
Please bring food and drinks to share for the picnic lunch and a blanket to sit on. We will try to get tables at the winery picnic area but if unsuccessful, we can picnic on the lawn. Please note that no outside alcohol is allowed, so please be discrete (flask/ water bottle etc.) if you will be bringing outside wine. Of course, wine for purchase is available at the winery.
