What weâre about
đŽÂ Important news: We've begun the transformation of this group from non-profit led to being completely run by volunteers from our wonderful community. This Meetup page is still the place to be for news about upcoming events. If you're not already a member, be sure you join this group, though, because we will be able to communicate with you only through this Meetup group and Meetup messages sent by the group.
A little background, if you're interested: With regret, we announced in July 2024 that the New Beginnings nonprofit organization is closing down before the end of 2024. With a long decline in donations to our cause, it's no longer viable in its current form. See our announcement about this at https://bit.ly/2024-07-30, and learn how you can help to continue our social events (and support groups, too) to possibly continue on a community, volunteer-led basis. We thank you for your participation, enthusiasm, ideas, volunteer and help and financial support over the past 11Âœ years! In the meantime, join us for an August full of great events - and get your tickets for our September 1 Catamaran Sailing Day! đŽ

Our events offer a way for people make new friends, go new places, and to do fun things together that are not focused on alcohol or romance. We insist on thoughtful, respectful behavior from everyone in the group and at our events.
Please note that you assume all responsibility for your safety, privacy, transportation to and from and during our events. You should take the same care for these that you would take for any public or online event.
