The Delaware Drum and Dance Hafla is moving to 1st Sundays
and the Newark Arts Alliance is moving to the
Shoppes at Louviers in Newark, DE

For 2024 we will be hosting something dance related at the Newark Arts Alliance on 1st Sundays. In Feb, May, Aug and Nov there will definitely be live performances, with options for prerecorded or live remote performances. For other months we hope to set up a Zoom from the Newark Arts Alliance to audience can watch remotely.

"doors open" around 3:30, sharing starts at 4pm

Drum and Dance Hafla events usually feature a 3 - 6 performances, demos, or presentations (costumes, technology, history, etc): some from professional restaurant dancers and some from students of bellydance, but all have experience. Both traditional Middle Eastern styles as well as Tribal, Tribal Fusion, and Cabaret Fusion will be performed. Sometime we also have live music performances. Performances by other dance forms and musicians also welcome.
