What we’re about

Welcome! Whether you’re new to the Bellarine/Geelong/Surf Coast area or have lived here for ages, there’s still the opportunity to explore it with fresh eyes. Bitsers (formerly Bit of Everything Bellarine) is based in Ocean Grove on the Bellarine, but events are hosted in all of these areas, so members are welcome from everywhere. Events are hosted by any member who would like to do so and has an interest in an area or activity.

There's a one-off $10 contribution payable by the end of October in the year that you join. This helps to cover the cost of the subscription site ($320 pa). If you pay earlier (ie when you join) this is appreciated and your payment is recorded in the system. You can pay to this account BSB 083653 A/C 233477184. Please ensure your deposit includes your Meetup name clearly stated.

This group is for you if you're: \ - single, or partnered. (Partners are welcome as plus 1s, but are encouraged to join as individuals.) \ - looking for social interaction \ - open to trying new things \ - want to give more than you take (ie suggest and host events if you're able to)- \ - prepared to be responsible and update your RSVP if you need to \ - prepared to pay a deposit for some seated table events, and for that deposit to go to the establishment if you don't update your RSVP in time \*. What sort of activities do we enjoy? We like a Bit of Everything! Why not come and try: \ - walks around our fabulous region. If you miss out, there will always be another walk! \ - Adventure Golf at Wallington ... a great icebreaker \ - eating out (brunch, lunch or dinner) at our amazing local cafes, wineries and restaurants \ - movies, theatre, live music, open mics, karaoke \ - trivia (looking for a host for this) ... and much more! \ These are just some ideas ... what else can YOU suggest, and even better, host? We aim to host a variety of events each month, so we try to keep costs down by listing inexpensive or free events where possible. If you don't want to come to dinner, come for a walk and coffee instead. \ \- Bit of Everything is a social group only\. Reports of stalking or harassment\, or of rudeness and lack of respect to any organiser\, will result in that member being removed without further discussion\. \- You must maintain a CLEAR profile photo of your face at all times\. This is for recognition purposes at events to make your organisers' jobs a bit easier\, and for your protection of you and all members\. If you join via Facebook and your picture isn't of your face\, please change it before you apply to join this group\. You can always change your Facebook photo back again if you wish to\. \

GROUP CONDITIONS:

  1. When you RSVP to an event, you not only agree to attend but it is also a way we can support small businesses. Please be kind to your host and fellow members and keep your RSVP up to date. ** NOTE: Notifications settings should be set to ON to get reminders, or keep an eye on the event if you prefer not to do this**
  2. Please respect the time and effort that event organisers take to organise events for the enjoyment of all. Reports of rudeness or lack of respect to event organisers means instant removal from the group without further discussion. Thanks for your understanding with this.
  3. Members must have a CLEAR profile photo when they request to join the group, and maintain this at all times. This allows transparency and an honest reflection of yourself to others.
