My goal is to create a welcoming and supportive community of women who come together to share the joy of baking, cooking, and connecting in a warm, homely environment. Through this event, I hope we build friendships, learn new skills, and support one another in the process.
I’m looking to meet women who are passionate about food, creativity, and meaningful connections. Whether you’re new to sourdough baking or already experienced, this workshop is for anyone interested in learning, sharing, and spending creative time with others who value the same.
Think of it as a sourdough bread atelier combined with hosting our own supper club – from setting the table to cooking tasty food, baking warm bread, and sharing laughs and experiences.
I’ve been making sourdough bread for few years now for family and friends so I’ll have a small guide prepared with the basic steps and some insights on making sourdough bread. We'll discuss the process, and I’ll do my best to answer your questions based on what I know. For anything I’m not familiar with, I’ll research and follow up later. We’ll start by preparing the first steps of the bread. While the dough is rising, we can get together in the kitchen to cook something simple. The day will be a blend of bread-making, with breaks for the dough to rest, and other creative cooking activities. We’ll enjoy some tea, perhaps do a bit of painting, fill vases with flowers, and set the table for our meal. After we share a meal together, each of you will finish your own bread, which you'll take home in a gift basket, letting it rise overnight to bake the next day. We will also bake a loaf together during the workshop so you can see the full process, and you’ll receive a recipe with the documented steps. You’ll also receive a sourdough starter in case you want to try making bread on your own.
This is my plan, but I hope each of us brings a little bit of our personality to the day so we can learn as much from each other as possible.
Sooo it’s not just about the bread, but about creating a relaxing, fun, and creative space where we can bond over food and shared experiences.
If this resonates with you, I’d love to meet you at our next gathering!
