Brighton Pub Boardgamers

Werewolf is a social/party game (a bit like a murder mystery), you're secretly either a villager or a wolf, and try to figure out what everyone else is. Who's on your team, and who's not? Deduction, bluffing, and lots of fun.

New players very welcome! Just RSVP to let us know you are coming. We always have more attendees than RSVPs on the list. If you've never played before, don't worry, we will get you started!

Enter the pub using the entrance door on the right and we will be there straight ahead of you. We begin arriving around 6pm to set up and brief newbies on the rules. First game usually starts around 6.30pm and a second game typically kicks off between 8 - 8.30pm. If you arrive after we've started you're able to sit and watch the drama unfold.

Boardgames and a pub, what's not to like? Come along and play some games with a friendly bunch of gamers. New faces and veterans welcome!

Key info

• Arrive after 6pm -- we start from 6pm, but you're welcome to turn up at any time after that (though you may have to wait/spectate for a bit later on).
• Bring ID -- the pub can be very keen to check ID for age, so if you're lucky enough to look under 25 in dim light, please bring some!
• Bring games if you can, all games are provided by people who attend, so if you can bring them (and share/teach) that would be much appreciated, but there will be plenty if not.
• RSVP here please, so we can gauge numbers
• Buy drinks and/or food to support the pub please, as they let us use their space for free and means we can keep this event free!
• When you arrive, say hello and we'll help you find a table to join.

Before you come, you might want to join our Discord; we use this for text chat to arrange beforehand what games to play and so on (we also play online board games there). It's also a great place for general chatter.

Now, first the public service announcements;

• Please RSVP if you're planning on coming, so we have a good idea of numbers and can reserve extra tables if needed.
• Secondly, PLEASE don't attend if you are experiencing symptoms of Covid (or similar infectious conditions, like a cold or flu). Playing boardgames does involve sitting at the same table together and often means touching the same game components, so we expect attendees to take suitable precautions.

And now on to the good bit!
We play all sorts of games, so come along and bring your favourite. We're always happy to teach and we love it if you're up for teaching/leading some games as well!

We usually chat/play short games until around 7PM, so if you're going to be later then that, give us a shout on here, or on our Discord server and we will try to keep a space in a board game free for you.
