Our Science on Tap series of conversations with local scientists continues on Wednesday, November 20 from 7-8 pm at Brewery Becker in Brighton; doors open at 6:45. Join Dr. Michael Siefkes, Director of Sea Lamprey Control for the Great Lakes Fishery Commission and adjunct Associate Professor of Fisheries and Wildlife at MSU as he presents “The Fish Thief: Solving the Mystery of Invasive Sea Lamprey in the Great Lakes.” The second-floor cash bar will be open for this event. Come join us as we discuss the devastating effects that sea lamprey can have on the Great Lakes fishery, and how scientists are successfully combating and controlling this invasive species.
