Groups Overview
Brissy Tribute Bands (BTB) meetup social group recently received recognition from Meetup HQ as one most active Meetup groups in the world, and thanked us for this amazing accomplishment.
This group has become very popular because there are no memberships and most of the events are totally free and everyone likes live music and dancing. These outings sometimes include International and Nationally Bands and Show that would cost thirty dollars upwards at other venues. Other reason for the group’s popularity is that we host meetups for all tastes of music at a variety of venues. Because of this you make many new friends and see new faces. This group was originally organised in meeting for live music and dancing but it has now also become a dinning outing. The monthly meet and greet is a nice ice breaker where you can chat and listen to music in a relaxing environment. We are very passionate about this group right from sourcing, hosting and attending the functions.
What this Group is all About
We originally decided to start this group because we love listening and dancing to tribute bands. This group is for singles, couples young and young at heart who enjoy the music of 50’s through to modern day. Like us you may have not had the opportunity to see the original, because they have disbanded or sadly deceased. The band also may not have toured Australia yet or the tickets were out of your price range, seeing the tributes are the next best thing. If you want to experience the atmosphere, stage performance and sounds of these music legends, Brissy Tribute Bands is for you.
I Would like to Introduce Ourselves
My name is Allan and my wife is Sue, we have been dancing together for eleven years, and we really love old time rock and roll dancing, we also enjoy fast rockabilly. I am a bit quite when we first meet but when there is a common interest like live music and dancing you can’t shut me up. We enjoy house parties, especially when dancing is involved we will become the life of the party. When we are with a group of people on a dance floor we enjoy circle free style dancing where everyone struts their stuff. To put it simply we totally enjoy dancing whether it be rock and roll, freestyle, head banging or just shuffling on the floor, we are not satisfied until we are totally exhausted.

Aussie music legends, Glenn Shorrock and Brian Cadd have reunited on stage over the past few years with sell-out shows across the East Coast.
Our very own “Two Amigos” will be joined onstage by their five-piece band to present an evening full of wonderful music, poignant memories and loads of laughs guaranteeing that this will be far more than your average stroll down memory lane.Shorrock and Cadd will be performing hit after hit, including Little Ray of Sunshine, Reminiscing, Ginger Man, Arkansas Grass, Cool Change, Help is on its Way and Don’t You Know It’s Magic from their past supergroups - The Twilights, The Groop, Axiom, The Bootleg Family, and Little River Band.

Enter, Come and Go from 2pm Friday 22nd until 10am Monday 25th November 2024.
First band on Friday night, last band Sunday afternoon, attendees can stay until 10am Monday morning.
Final release tickets from only $130 per person plus OZTIX booking fee, same price for a RV to a tent, this is NOT PER NIGHT, for up to three nights with concert ticket included, the entire festival. Limited final release tickets @ https://bit.ly/3wOljxZ
BYO drinks and food, indoors event, awesome dance area and no noise restrictions. No commuting or shuttle buses to event, camping right on the doorstep of the festival ,other accommodation options available.
These festivals are unique for they only comprise of tribute and premium cover bands. Unlike other music festivals the headlining bands puts on at least a full 2 hr show.

MINDEN RETREAT ( 25 Boughens Rd Minden QLD )
Approximately 20 km from Ipswich and just off the Warrego Highway
Minden Retreat is a perfect place to relax, among the gum trees you can sit back, unwind and let the rest of the world go by. Enjoy a peaceful walk around the 27 acre property and dam or cool off in the salt water swimming pool. Minden retreat is a short drive from Brisbane and is situated in the beautiful Lockyer Valley. Close by activities, scenic drives and walks or visit the local markets.

These prices are per person for up to three nights (includes concert entry)
Note all rooms accomondation are shared rooms you may be sharing with someone you know or dont know.
· Motel styled rooms shared with air-conditioning and en-suite ( linen supplied) $150.00 plus booking fee per person (Sold Out).
· Motel styled rooms shared with no air-conditioning and amenities outside the room ( linen supplied) $130.00 plus booking fee per person (One Left).
· Final Release Hostel styled rooms shared ( BYO linen mattress supplied ) $130.00 plus booking fee per person.

...arrive , setup camp , fill ya esky, have a drink, come up and mingle with friends, have a swim, roll on back to camp, get dressed, re-stock ya esky, mosey on up to stage area, say G'day to Stuart, the coffee man, he is probably nursing a glass of Red...say cheers he has a grest selection of light meals......., find a spot to park ya esky, and Band starts about 7.30 ish.. dance the nite away. .....wakeup, stoke the fire, roll on up to see Stuart, and grab a coffee, grab some amazing breaky...., you are now fully awake, re stock ya esky, head on down to the pool, have a dip, beer, or a wine, mosey on upto stage area, and get totally rocked on by Grumpy Old Men, kicking off around 11 ish, ...its now about 2.30 pm....admire the pool..., have a swim while ya there, grab some lunch from the Stuart, say G'day to Stuart, prob still has his glass of Red.......re stock ya esky, head on into stage area, and get blown away with the music.....about 2.30 ish. One Night Stand....playing all the mega hits we all know... its now about 6 ish.....what to do?....mmmm, have a swim, or head home to camp, and get dressed.......80’s Theme Party Ideas (Band Artists, Movie Characters or 80’s Icons).......ok....check, ice in ya esky, re stock, headon upto stage area...cheers to Stuart, grab some dinner.....admire all the other idiots, all dressed up....have a laugh, bring a plate , to share if you wish.....plant yourself in a good spot.......Band kicks off around 7.30 ish.....80’s Glam Rock Show....dance yr arse off, have fun, roll on back to ya camp .........Sunday
