We'll celebrate the season on this day with drinks and lunch at the Keystone Pub in the Butztown community of Bethlehem Township (the Christmas Township?), just a few miles northeast of downtown Bethlehem. This is the old Butztown Hotel. Some accounts say the hotel was originally a grist mill built in 1806. Other accounts say the hotel was built next to or near the grist mill sometime after 1806.
In any case, it's long been the center of the Butztown community. We'll learn more about the colorful history of the Butztown Hotel (it was a biker bar in the late 20th century), the local history of this part of Bethlehem and yes, the ghosts that inhabit the space to this day.
We'll have a reserved space on the second floor, which was converted from hotel rooms to dining rooms. See you there!
