What we’re about
Live in Cairns, love watching movies and discussing them..? This is a movie club with a difference. We don't watch movies together (at least as part of this group) – we pick three movies on the free SBS On Demand channel, watch them in our own time, and then get together to talk about them. It's like a Book Club, but for movies :-)
Members are welcome to suggest movies, provided they are available on SBS on Demand or on ABC iView. However, please do not be offended if your choice does not make the cut (time and space constraints as well as issues of balance and diversity.)
We all have busy lives and sometimes things happen and you cannot attend a meeting, after having RSVP-ed. That is okay, but please be kind and take your name off the list, maybe even freeing up a spot for someone else who'd like to attend.
PS. This group was founded by the clever Mark Neilson, who is currently traveling the world with wife Peta.
