Hello folks!!! πŸ•πŸΎπŸ™‚

As you know - you don't have to have a dog, just a love of dogs is all that's required πŸ•

Here is a super special event where we will explore the parks and grounds of Wimpole Hall which carries the title of being the biggest house in Cambridgeshire!!

The parks are as equally impressive, being laid out and modified by famous landscape designers such as Capability Brown and Humphrey Repton.

Beautiful undulating landscape, huge trees, lakes, and a historic mock tumbling down castle will all be present for us to experience with our wonderful furry friends.

off-leash - a lot of the walk will be off leash but there are some areas with sheep where leads are obviously needed.

Access - no ticket and free around the grounds as we are not going in the house and are accessing via the public footpath.

Duration - the parks are big and we will be walking most the circumference - plan for 2.5hrs.

PICNIC - we will stop for a quick rest and picnic at 12:30 to 12:45-ish at the 'folly' - the tumbled down castle. This has the benefit of being the highest point of the park with stunning views. Bring a warm coat, snack and drink πŸ™‚. Also a great place to run around with the dogs :).

RSVPS - Please only attend with an RSVP. Please also only RSVP if you are fully committed to come along and can make the time :)

MEETING POINT - we are NOT meeting on the estate. Please head to the village of Arrington on the boundary. We will meet at the big stone and metal gates on Ermine Way (A1198) - please see the annotated aerial image and the photo upload of the gates themselves. They are near to the Hardwicke Arms, SG8 0AH.

PARKING you can park in Arrington on Church Lane or in the lay-by next the Church. You can also park in the carpark of the Hardwicke Arms SG8 0AH (which is now a disused pub). This is where I will park.

TRAVEL - Wimpole Hall is about 10 miles SW of Cambridge. If you don't drive, would like to combine travel, or need a lift please, please post a note on the event page and someone with a car might be able to help.

NO DOG NEEDED - just a love of dogs πŸ™‚πŸΆ

DOG BEHAVIOUR - as long as your dog is safe with people it is fine if it is young, spirited, or if you are still in training. These events are brilliant for doggy socialisation and getting to know other dogs and dog owners πŸ™‚.

One thing we can't accept is dogs that are prone to causing aggressive spats with other dogs. Regretfully we can't accept dogs with this issue until it is rectified.

Owners are directly and solely responsible for their dog/s at all times.

TREATS - before offering treats to a dog best to double check with the owner first.

PHOTOS - Organisers and attendees usually post photos after our events to record the fun and memories πŸ™‚πŸ•πŸΎ. These are also used on our Instagram account. By attending you are deemed to consent to this. If you prefer any individual photos to be removed though please contact the organiser who would be very happy to do this.
