What we’re about
Catholic Singles of Greater Pittsburgh (CSGP) on Meetup is a marketing tool for the Catholic Alumni Club (CAC) whose mission is to bring together single Catholic professionals so we can meet in a Christian context. We do this by sponsoring social, recreational, athletic, cultural, charitable, and spiritual activities in which we can participate.
Membership in the CSGP Meetup site is free and is open to people who would like to learn more about our club, try some of our activities, and make new friends. The site is part of our outreach to single Catholics who may not be familiar with our club. It offers a sample of our public activities. Membership in the CSGP Club (officially known as the Catholic Alumni Club (CAC) of Pittsburgh) requires payment of $25 annual dues (for Emailed newsletter, $40 for US Mail) and is open to single Catholic professionals (visit our club's website at www.CACPittsburgh.org for complete details). Club members receive our monthly newsletter, discounts at some events, and the opportunity to attend Regional and National Conventions with single Catholics from other chapters of our organization.
** NOTE: Membership in Meetup is NOT the same as being a member of the Catholic Alumni Club of Pittsburgh. CAC members receive discounts on prepaid events. **
Please note that club members learn about activities through our newsletter and prospective members may find us through other online sources besides Meetup as well as through notices in parish bulletins. So there probably will be more people attending a given activity than the Meetup RSVPs would indicate. We hope to see you at an event soon!
The Catholic Alumni Club of Pittsburgh is one chapter out of 16 throughout the United States. The Pittsburgh chapter has been in existence since 1966 and is one of largest and most active.
PS. Please do not solicit our members, contact them with unwarranted Emails, ask for money, etc. Also if you want to get to know someone, attend an event that they are going to and ask them if you can send them a message. I tell members to report unwanted contacting to be reported to the headquarters of Meetup for the person to be removed.
**** Please include a picture of yourself, or a meme. It's much easier to look for you at events rather than a picture of your pet. ****
