Ride to Taralga for lunch

Even been to Taralga? No? Is it because it's only got one street and one pub? But hey, what a street and a pub!

For no other reason than "why not?" and "nice roads," we'll set off from picturesque Belconnen in Canberra's beautiful north and make our way to Taralga via Sutton, Gundaroo, Gunning, Crookwell and (don't blink or you'll miss it) Laggan.

Once in Taralga, we'll be spoiled for choice with both the pub and general store to choose from. I have it on good authority that the geriatric Ulysses club will also be there and we can enjoy heckling them and/or attaching shopping baskets to their bikes as appropriate. Finally, we'll return via exciting Goulburn and the Federal Highway.

Our point of departure will be the luxurious Ampol (as seen on TV!) at 4 Luxton Street, Belconnen. Meet at 10am for a 10:15 departure.
