What we’re about
This is a group for people aged 45 years onwards, to go out for dinners, lunches or brunches with like minded people. To have good conversation associated with lots of laughter and a feeling of companionship
No more sitting at home alone, lets meet, have a nice meal and see what type of people we can find. You never know - - your new best friend could be just around the corner!
Other events we do include trivia, karaoke, movies, nights at the theatre, live bands, painting classes, bush walks, basically anything that someone wants to host we will give it a try.
Men and women are equally encouraged to attend our meetups.
Face photo on profile is mandatory as it allows us to identify new people at the meetups. First name is mandatory as well, we want to know you!!
MEMBERSHIP FEES
Using the meetup app to organise events is not free. A lot of time is spent in researching, booking and updating posted events. New members will need to pay $8 membership within 2 weeks and before attending any meetups. You will be deleted after 2 weeks if payment not received.
Existing members are required to pay $8 by 31st January each year to keep membership current.
Payment details are sent in an email. If you have opted not to received emails please private message me to get the bank details.
RULES
• When events are posted the RSVP opens. Closes the day before the event to enable restaurant numbers to be confirmed. Please make sure to update your RSVP the day before if unable to attend. This will allow people on the waitlist to be moved to "going"
- If the event host requires a deposit for a venue, this deposit is to be paid when RSVPing Yes. If not paid within 2 days - you will be moved to "not going"
• Two "no shows" after leaving your RSVP as "going" will result in your termination from the group.
• No bullying or whinging about other members will be tolerated.
• Please leave all your problems at home. You are here to enjoy yourself!!
• Please treat all venue patrons with courtesy and respect.
• Mary and Hilary are allowed to remove you from the group at our discretion.
