RECON- Apollo Beach Canaveral National Seashore Cleanup

Please join Central Florida RECON as we hold a beach cleanup at Canaveral National Seashore (Apollo Beach)!

We will be meeting at 9AM at the Apollo Beach Visitor Center to collect supplies and submit the required volunteer forms. After we finish up at the Visitor Center, we will head to Parking Lot 6 and cover both the beach side and lagoon side for our cleanup. As multiple hurricanes have recently hit the area, we expect more trash than usual as well as possible eroded terrain.

This event is a walking cleanup and no kayaks will be available. Trash grabbers, buckets, gloves and bags will be provided. After we disembark from Parking Lot 6, we are aiming for a two hour cleanup and at the end we will combine all of our trash, weigh it and take a group photo. If rain or heavy wind is in the forecast for the day of the cleanup, please check on Friday night for event updates. Bathroom facilities are available on site but please bring a hat, sunglasses, sunscreen and water to keep hydrated.

Pending confirmation from the Rangers, we may have our entry fee waived for volunteers. Will update when that information is available.
