What we’re about
The Charlottesville Writers Critique Circle is a Meetup group for local writers. Please join us if you would like to:
-meet other local writers, authors, dabblers, novelists, and wordsmiths;
-improve your writing by receiving feedback from your peers;
-provide constructive critiques of your peers' work, and;
-occasionally cap the pen or close the laptop and enjoy a social event with the group.
All writers are welcome, as are all styles of writing (creative, fiction, nonfiction, whimsical, etc).
Our standard critique section meets every other Tuesday from 6:30pm-8:30pm at the Jefferson-Madison Central Library downtown. The section is for writers working on short stories, novels, flash fiction, etc.
Our Long Form section (book length projects) meets every fourth Tuesday at an undisclosed location and is currently closed to new members.
Our Flash Fiction section (1,000 words or less) meets every fourth Tuesday from 6:30pm-8:30pm at the Jefferson-Madison Central Library downtown.
Our Business of Writing/Publishing section explores what happens after you've written, edited, and perfected your story/essay/poem/novel and meets every fourth Tuesday from 6:30pm-8:30pm at the Jefferson-Madison Central Library downtown.
Hope to see you soon!
