About Bistro Monadnock....

"FRENCH BISTRO IN CHICAGO’S HISTORIC MONADNOCK BUILDING (1891)

This modern French bistro focuses on traditional preparations of classic French dishes, with some twists. The food is complimented by a dazzling, mostly-French wine list with 15 wines available by the glass. A full bar features classic cocktails and draft beer.

Leading the kitchen is Executive Chef Johnny Besch. Born in Chicago, Chef Johnny has spent decades cooking and studying under the guidance of some of the world’s great French chefs. In Portland, he cooked for Knight and Master Chef Phillipe Boulot at The Heathman. In Chicago, he cooked under Laurent Gras at 3-Michelin star L2O. In Puerto Rico, he was on the opening team to cook for none other than Monseigneur Alain Ducasse at Mix on the Beach. In the 5 years prior to joining Bistro Monadnock, Chef Johnny was Executive Chef at BLVD, a West Loop steakhouse."
