Small dogs love to play with dogs their own size......however....small dog safety is overlooked in the design of many Australian dog parks.
Boisterous or aggressive large dogs can damage small dogs in a heartbeat. This is costly in dollars and emotional stress, and it can make the dogs forever nervous and fearful.
I have seen it happen and don't want to take the risk - even if it rare... All dogs are members of a family and deserve to be able to play in safety, just like children. They LOVE to play, then they are tired, and tired dogs don't get into mischief.
We meet once a month at the Kroll gardens off leash small dog area, on the corner of Duffield and Snook street, Clontarf. All small dogs and their owners are warmly welcomed.
