Our members have previously enjoyed dining at Dawson's, so we've chosen to return.

This time, we're limiting the group to two tables of eight to help keep the noise level down.

You can either place your order at the table, where your name will be noted for payment at the bar when leaving, or choose to order and pay directly at the bar.

I've requested seating to the left at the top of the stairs, as the music was louder on the right during our last visit.

Andrew will be hosting the dinner.

We have booked the Terrace at the Barkly Hotel for dinner prior to attending the play "An Ideal Husband" by Oscar Wilde at the Heidelberg Theatre Company. This rsvp is for dinner only as some members prefer not to attend both dinner and theatre.

There will be another event posted for the play "An Ideal Husband" at Heidelberg Theatre Company at 8pm. Please see separate event and book your own ticket to the play on link provided.

Join us for the play "An Ideal Husband" at Heidelberg Theatre Company on Saturday 23 November at 8pm. Unfortunately tickets must have been on sale for a while so there are not a lot of tickets left in the theatre so I suggest you get in quickly if you want to attend.

We have posted a separate event for dinner prior at Barkly Hotel in Heidelberg. Buy your own ticket and meet us for a free sherry in foyer before the play and a coffee during intermission. Make sure you RSVP after buying your ticket so we know to look out for you.

Sir Robert Chiltern has it all: money, influence and a beautiful wife. What could possibly go wrong? Then the arrival in his London house of a woman who knows secrets from his past threatens to expose him to public shame and bring an end to both his stellar political career and his blissful marriage.

But, with colourful and intriguing characters, and with love hovering, comic possibilities abound and farce is just a closed door away. An Ideal Husband takes a delightfully satirical look at the political and social world of upper-class London in the 1890s.

Laughs aplenty in this Wilde classic.

We'll kick off the night with dinner in the Sports Bar, followed by the exciting Quizzame trivia game. Questions will be displayed on the TV screen, and your team will work together to find the answers. Teams will be formed based on the number of attendees. In January, we enjoyed a lovely afternoon at the Panton Hill Hotel, relaxing on the balcony with peaceful views, great food, and wonderful company.

I've reserved a table on the balcony again for our next lunch, hoping for perfect weather to make it an ideal day for a casual outdoor meal. I hope you can join us!

We’ll be hanging out at Birrarrung Park from midday, so bring your own lunch and drinks, grab a chair or picnic rug, a hat and some sunscreen, and settle in for a laid-back afternoon. If you’re up for it, feel free to bring along some nibbles or a dessert to share, but no pressure!

Please note this is a free event and nothing is provided.

If the weather isn’t suitable for a picnic, we’ll meet at the Templestowe Hotel for lunch instead. Be sure to check back here on the day for any updates and directions to find us in the park
