What we’re about
Our mission is simple: complete volume 9 of the Columbus Ale Trail by visiting the 33 breweries in Franklin county that make up the trail by June 30, 2025. Pick up your Ale Trail book at any of the participating breweries.
Most typically, we'll schedule events on Sunday afternoons, and we'll often hit two breweries that are near each other, making sure one if them has food offerings if at all possible. Occasionally we'll add in a midweek happy hour or even a brunch. Football season tends to wreak havoc with the schedule but we try and do a couple of events a month.
This is the third year I am leading an Ale Trail group. This is a pretty casual group and I am not looking to host huge gatherings that require significant planning with the breweries, so I do put size limits on the events, but hey, it's a free country, no one can stop you from showing up. Occasionally I'll make reservations if needed, but generally I just show up a little early and grab tables. Sometimes we can all sit together and sometimes we can't.
This is a generally a pretty fun, social group, but it is a BEER group. If you don't like beer or have any interest in the Ale Trail, it's probably not for you.
Finally, attending all events is at your own risk... PLEASE drink and drive responsibly.
