Danbury 20s and 30s Meetup

Let's wake up early Thanksgiving morning to run a fantastic race put on in Redding, Connecticut! It's a local tradition that the whole family can be involved in. The race offers a long-sleeved shirt, a beanie hat, running gloves, and a fancy medal for all finishers! There's also donuts, bagels, and coffee. We will all gather together before the starting time on Thanksgiving morning at 8am. Get your family to come if you can, there's also a kids fun run! I (Laura) have weak ankles and I'm unable to run the race myself, but I'll be volunteering by handing out bagels and donuts for everyone in the race. Hope to see you there!!

Lastly, event planning and meetup organizer costs me about $240 per year, not including attending paid events themselves. Pitch in a few dollars to our group fund, if you can, to help me cover the meetup cost. Thanks so much!!

Let's visit Molly Darcy's Irish pub, munch on Irish pub food and dance together! Friday nights they have line dancing with country music from 7:30 til 11pm, after which there will be a DJ keeping the momentum til 1am. Grab your dusty cowboy boots and we will see you there!

Come roll out of bed and join us at Tusk and Cup Coffee on a Saturday morning.

This coffee house has delicious coffee selections with some welcoming seating located in the back. They have a sofa and even a fireplace to hang out and chat together. They have a wonderful selection of pastries, bagels, soup and of course coffee however you want it. It's located right off Danbury Road.

We are gathering at noon, everyone is welcome. If anyone wants to linger a little longer with each other and the coffee is empty, the fun and fancy Angel Cooperative shop is next door to get your stones and trinkets fill. As well as Ally Bally Bee, which is a beautifully crafted artisan gift shop. See you there!

Come to one of our most popular events with games on tap at the Ridgefield Library! This is a wonderful way to get to know new people, laugh and have fun together. There are lots of board games, or you can bring your favorite game to play. The event is free, with snacks, soft drinks, and comes with 1 free alcoholic beverage. After games on tap we will hang out a little longer at Tequila Escape down the street. We'll see you there!

Let's go for a walk together at the Maybrook Rail Trail! This is a leisurely trail perfect for all of us. It is an easy and paved road next to an old railroad. We will wander for 1.5 hours in one direction, and then turn around and walk back to the cars.

We will park and meet at Farrington Woods, where the rail trail begins, there is enough parking at the Farrington Woods entrance off of route 202 west on the side headed into New York State, right past the park and ride there is a bike route sign and small road on the right hand side that you turn right into.

The other side of 202 is east, if you are coming from New York to the Danbury line, and you'll have to turn around after the Danbury line to reach the small driveway entrance. The entrance to Farrington woods is on the west side of the road.

Once we park and gather, we walk to the entrance to the rail trail which is next to the bridge when driving into the Farrington woods parking lot.

Let's go bowling as friends together! New Milford lanes close at 2 am, and Friday nights they have glow bowling, $20 for 1 hour, and $25 for 2 hours. We will be staying the two hours, and maybe head to a local restaurant nearby to keep the conversations going. We will see you all there!

Did you receive something for Christmas that you opened and thought to yourself "...you really shouldn't have..." because it was not what you wanted? If this gift experience didn't happen to you this year, then try to wrap up the craziest gift you can think of.

We will be gathering together at the Vesta Rooftop Kitchen in Bethel the Saturday at lunchtime for a post-holiday celebration. We reserved half the rooftop for our group. Be sure to bring:
-your white elephant gift
-wear an ugly Christmas sweater if you have one (a prize will be awarded to the best ugly sweater by public vote.)

Vesta said they will be splitting our tables into groups of 10 people per table. They will split the check by table and then they will take multiple payments for each check. (If any of you know me, I'm bad at math and am relying on math-savvy people to make sense of this. I hope to bring my accountant spouse to make sure I'm mathing correctly. hahaha)
