This ride will suit novice/confident beginners with reasonable fitness. 24k out and back on reasonable easy fire trail ( a few small pinches and some rocky sections) but all very doable, out to the Long trail lookout with spectacular views of the Hawkesbury river. This will be a casual ride, stopping when necessary for a break a chat or some pics. If it is wet, the ride will go ahead as the trail is sandstone based and is rideable in any weather. Bring a change of clothes if raining.
There is no public transport to this ride, the closest railway station is Gordon or Pymble ! if you can get to either of these I’m sure a lift is possible.

This ride will incur a $5 fee payable from non financial members. This $5 fee will then become your yearly membership of ECMBR. This $5 fee reimburses Michael Hawkins for the substantial yearly charges that Meetup charges him for running this group on the Meetup App. Refundable if you don’t like us 😂

• What to bring
A well maintained mountain bike is required, you should also carry a spare tube and pump. Personal Protection is required i.e helmet/gloves/safety glasses.
