We are an open community of people dedicated to doing good better. We host this community so that people with the same values can connect, collaborate, network, learn and take action. We host social events, important discussions and run workshops in the Perth area. Our events are welcoming to people of all backgrounds.
Effective altruism is a research field and practical community that aims to find the best ways to help others, and put them into practice. In practice, we usually use our careers, donations and advocacy to effectively address problems that are global, severe, neglected and solvable. See all- Plant-based Potluck Fundraising DinnerEarthwise Community Association, Subiaco
Join us at Earthwise on the 15th of November for an all-you-can-eat plant-based potluck buffet dinner to bring the Perth community together and raise funds for the Australian Alliance for Animals and Cellular Agriculture Australia!
We will have lots of food including pad thai kindly donated by Healthy Thai Vegan and Vegetarian Cuisine, board and card games, fun chats with likeminded people, and a special table for meeting new people with icebreaker activities.
Price: Pay by donation (100% of proceeds go to the charities) on the night, by cash or card or payID.
This event is brought to you by Effective Altruism Perth and Effective Animal Advocacy Australia. Both use evidence and reason to do the most good. They run workshops, discussions and social events.
