What we’re about
Welcome Sydney-siders! Sydney is home to one of the world's most beautiful city and coastal walks. I have personally met some really spectacular people over different walks in Sydney previously.
Feel free to join us on our WhatsApp group as well to get connected with other Sydney people here: https://chat.whatsapp.com/ICxiHb3cVsb5HcjQTC1oTc. If you can't join the group, message me and I'll add you to the group. My WhatsApp number is 0459 735 356.
I named the Meetup group as "Explore More over a Walk" very strategically. What it means is that when you join us every Sunday afternoon at 12 pm, you can:
❤️ Explore more about each other by meeting new people in Sydney
❤️ Explore more about the beautiful city of Sydney
❤️ Explore more about your inner self after a tiring week
❤️ Immerse yourself in the magnificence of Sydney: sea, beautiful suburban life, ferries, diversity and multiculturalism.
The main problems that our Meetup group caters to are:
🚶 Good for your physical health: Our walks help you to increase your steps on a Sunday. On an average, we would be walking around 10 K equating to 14,000 steps on an average.
🤯 Excellent for your mental health: People often end up having great conversations and making new friends during the walk. If you didn't have a great week, this is the place to detoxify yourself. That's why and how I associated my walks with a charity called R U OK?. I am also running for them in a couple of weeks' time for the City2Surf run.
🤝 Our walks bring people together from different ages, cultures, nationalities, job professions and much more. We don't apply any filters. Everyone is welcome.
I started off this group on the 1st of September, 2022. We have already organised around 70 walks and have crossed more than 2300 members in just 2 years of time.
Feel free to come and join us. I'm a very warm and friendly host, and always open towards new ideas from you. So please provide any feedback on how we can improve and what else we can do ahead.
