Walk around Albert Park Lake and Coffee and Picnic at St Vincents Garden

Details

Join me for a walk around the picturesque Albert Park Lake and a coffee and picnic in the heritage listed St Vincents Garden.

Albert Park Lake is located 3km from the centre of Melbourne and provides a grassy wetland habitat for nearly two hundred bird species. It has magnificent views of the Melbourne city skyline. The St Vincents Garden is a gorgeous reserve with large trees, flower gardens and spacious green lawns.

Agenda

  • I will meet you at 10am on the lakeside of Tram Stop No.129 - the Melbourne Sports and Aquatic Centre/Light Rail Tram Stop.
  • From there we will walk around the Albert Park Lake track.
  • After that we will go to Laurent where we can pick up a coffee and/or some food. Laurent is a French artisan bakery that serves a selection of baguettes, pastries, cakes, croissants and donuts.
  • From there we will head to the St Vincent Gardens to enjoy a picnic before returning to our start point near the lake.
  • The walking distance is around 7km.

Location
The Albert Park Lake and St Vincents Garden are located in the suburb of Albert Park. The No.96 tram/light rail runs from the Melbourne CBD down past Albert Park Lake.

When you RSVP, please click Attend on the event page and I will be in touch via Direct Messages about the details. As this is a rain or shine event I will also be available in the Event Comments on the day, and will add any updates there about weather conditions if needed.
