What we’re about
Fabric is a relatively new service from Microsoft that is creating a real buzz in the analytics and business intelligence community. Business users can get data from almost any source, visualise it and share their insights with Power BI, a platform we're all familiar with. Fabric has so many capabilities beyond this, and our aim is to showcase the full breadth of these through guest presentations.
We will be meeting in Bristol on the 3rd Thursday of each month, sessions will be held in the evening to allow you to unwind from a busy working day with like minded people. We will host a variety of events including talks from expert speakers and hands-on introductions.

Session 1 - Geospatial Analytics in Power BI - James Dales
This session will look at how to achieve some of the more advanced mapping requirements in Power BI. For example working with your own polygons to create drill-down choropleth maps, drawing lines, shapes and images to create interactive utility network diagrams and clustering data using the H3 hexagon grid system. We’ll examine the out of the box capabilities using Azure Maps and ArcGIS as well as the new Icon Map Pro visual.About James
