What we’re about
Hello fellow introverts! Do you hate small talk but still feel a need to get out of the house now and then for some person-to-person interaction? It's completely normal to refill our "socialization" energy tank occasionally, and this new group might be just what you're looking for!
This group has no intention of trying to change who you are or "bring you out of your shell". We respect the real you and the value you bring by just being yourself. You're welcome to attend whatever meetings you'd like, and there's zero pressure to actually partake in the conversation (we introverts are really good listeners, after all). People of all ages are welcome!
Please take a moment to read our code of conduct and attendance policy below:
Code of Conduct
Respect all members' boundaries, do not purposely harass or make anyone uncomfortable. If you have a conflict with another member, please contact one of the organizers. Our goal is to maintain a safe and judgment free environment for everyone. We will not hesitate to remove a member if it becomes necessary.
Do not attend an event if you are drunk or high. If alcohol is served at an event, enjoy yourself responsibly.
Attendance Policy
1. Three no shows will now simply result in removal from the group.
2. Late cancellations (within 2 hours of an event) will be tracked and can result in removal from the group at the organizers’ discretion. We have members who have signed up for large numbers of events only to cancel shortly before the event begins. It is just as disruptive as not showing up at all and still prevents people on the wait list from attending.
3. Members who sign up with guests and then no show will have it counted as multiple strikes. (If you sign up with one guest and no show, it will count as 2 strikes. If you sign up with 2 guests and no show, it will be 3 strikes. Late cancellations with guests will also be counted this way.)
4. If you are bringing guests, you need to RSVP for them. If your guest can no longer make it, please adjust your RSVP accordingly.
5. Do not attend an event if you are still on the wait list.
6. While children are welcome at some events, please check to make sure it is a family friendly gathering before bringing any minors as guests. Children are not permitted to attend any event where alcohol is being served. If you have a question about whether or not an event is child appropriate you can either contact the host or one of the organizers.
