What we’re about
This is a social group for over 50's. Want to get a bit more fun out of life? Then this group is for you!
We are all about enjoying life as much as possible and getting out there with others to make that happen. Laughs, chats, live music, walks, theatre, dining out, drinks nights, cinema, cultural/educational events, beach days, day trips and lots more. All over 50's will be very warmly welcomed at all our events. If you feel a bit nervous about coming along to your first event then give me a call and I can have a friendly chat with you before you attend or I can meet with you for a coffee/chat and go in with you to your first event. You will be warmly welcomed.
To help cover the cost of the meetup fees we ask for only a £1 donation for each meetup event you choose to attend - so please do remember to bring this along at the event so we can continue to organise lots of fun times for you to enjoy. All donations will go towards the meetup fees to run the group. Please make sure that organisers are able to contact you on meetup with any updates by going into your settings- click on privacy- and then click on who can contact you on your profile on meetup. Also, please put a recent photo on your profile so that organisers and fellow members can recognise you when you attend events- it is common courtesy to do so.
Meetup organisers and event hosts are volunteers and we have no public liability nor any other type of insurance cover - therefore all individuals attending any of our events are entirely responsible for their own health and safety.
We really want this to be a fun, interesting, inclusive and caring group that we hope you will value being part of. Life is to be enjoyed - so let's do that!

A joyous festive celebration for all ages bringing together guest singers, eclectic band and a community choir in an evening to warm the soul.
Please note: This is a celebration of Stevens' music and not a performance by him.Matchless independent artist Sufjan Stevens has written, arranged and released 10 EPs of Christmas songs and made them available for others to play.
From the beautiful 'Sister Winter' via the epic 'Christmas Unicorn' to the ridiculous 'Come On! Let's Boogey to the Elf Dance', Stevens has written a Christmas song for everyone., featuring his trademark lush flurries of woodwind and synths, asymmetric time signatures, intimate truthful whispers and warm-hearted festive confessionals.
An array of soloists, an instrumental ensemble and community choir come together in this epic evening of communal celebration, including instant songwriting, pass the parcel and an audience singalong.
Musical magician Hugh Nankivell (National Theatre of Scotland, Opera North, Natural Causes) brings together multi-instrumentalist friends Dean Brodrick (Nick Mulvey and the GoBetweens, Massukos, Empty Boat, directing the charity Shirikiana), and Ben McCabe (Paddy Garrigan and the Stroller Priests, Natural Causes, Deep Cabaret), for this festive treat. - EVENT FULL- Prestonfield House- Winter Wonderland Xmas Dinner and entertainmentPrestonfield House, Edinburgh
