Details

This is a new location for GBNP. It's actually two locations, right across the street from each other. P.A. Landers Sand and Gravel, and T. L. Edwards Asphalt. Parking is free and available on Commerce Way, right next to the Mobil gas station. We can walk into either place.
There are "mountains" of gravel and rock, all kinds of machinery and large earth moving equipment. There are shadows and deep tire tracks in the sand and gravel. This can be a fun place to light paint.
Sunset is at 4:19, and the moon comes up at 5:30. it's a 97% moon, so we'll have plenty of light to get around.
Wear sturdy boots, it's been dry, but the terrain can be rough.
Temps will be in the high 40s, low 50s.
Wide angle lenses are great for this: 14-24mm range, but medium telephotos are also good for detail.
No guests, and please wait in the parking lot, so we can all go in together.
We do not have permission to go, but I have been to both places a number of times with no problems.
