What we’re about
The vision of NVC Geneva (Nonviolent Communication Geneva) is to support connection, harmony and alternatives to violence at the personal, community and global level.
In various ways, we unite and inspire each other to effectively support access to NVC to the international community in and around Geneva.
We will study and apply together Nonviolent Communication (NVC) in English.
This is a revolutionary way of relating authentically with yourself and others through building consciousness around: Empathy and Self-Empathy, Compassion, Emotional Freedom, Self-Expression among others essential elements!
The goal is to grow our capacity to communicate and exist in Truth from the Heart.

General introduction:
Creating a group dedicated to the book gives us an opportunity to make space for discussions whilst reading together. It aims to support a deeper learning and understanding of the NVC language, which we believe will enrich the learning process in life and indeed in situations which we would like to compassionately communicate with others.
Through previous sessions, we learnt that it was important to meet the current needs of participants. As we continue to evolve the group and journey through the book together, we would like to invite participants to share anything that resonates when reading passages in the book. Understandably we may therefore share more than we read in some sessions. This can also serve as to guide and prepare us for online and/or live sessions with a co-facilitator.
Afternoon sessions are weekly on a Monday afternoon at 15:15
Evening sessions are fortnightly on a Tuesday evening at 20:00
On Mondays, the schedules are according to our collective inspirations, starting with:
• 15:15 space is open, particularly for newcomers or anyone wishing to share ahead of the check-in
• 15:30 check-in
• 15:40 following the flow of the reading
• 16:15 consolidation of current discussion/place in the chapter, conclusion of topic with space for its continuation at the following session; proceed to check-out
• 16:30 proposed finishing time
If you want to attend these book club sessions but are unable to attend either the afternoon or the evening sessions listed, please contact us at: [email protected] or Georgia Knower on MeetUp.
We’d love to hear from you! Let us know when you’re able to participate, even if it is outside of our sessions. We are open to suggestions and looking forward to continuing an inspiring, connecting, and nurturing space through several time zones. Here’s to an NVC-filled world!
