Let's jam! Or maybe if jamming isn't your scene, come and toast those up on stage! Or maybe choose the middle-ground and do some karaoke.
Whatever you choose, this group is here to host monthly jam sessions for musicians.
We can do this thanks to the generosity of a local non-profit art gallery (sungallery.org).
The Sun Gallery and your host provides an outdoor stage, PA system, mixer, microphones, keyboard, an electronic drum set with mesh pads (Roland TD-11kv), and karaoke setup (OK fine....its YouTube, but it works!)
Your host, Ben, played some gigs as a keyboardist in a rock band a couple decades ago and now is back into it taking vocal lessons. Also, Sun Gallery rep Carla rocks some fab Pat Benatar style vocals.
We're hoping to meet some other folks and try to play some music together. Ben is a 90's alt/grunge/rock addict who's not-so guilty pleasure leans yacht rock. And if you're gonna judge - stop by and help him branch out with your tastes!
We're also on Eventbrite, but Meetup is a good spot to actually chat/comment to plan what we want to play should we get organized!
