(Special thanks to Steve for organizing this event! - Stephanie)
Please read below for parking and meeting location instructions!
“Rockingham” served as Gen. George Washington’s final headquarters of the Revolutionary War, and it is where he composed and issued his “Farewell Orders” to his troop in November 1783.
Cost of Tour is $3. We will meet at the flagpole located at the historic site’s parking lot. NOTE: our tour will begin at 11:30 am sharp and is a 5-minute walk from the parking lot. So please arrive no later than 11:15 AM. The parking lot is located 500’ down the same road, north of where the historic house is located. Once we all have gathered at the flagpole, we will walk over to the historic house together. Rest Rooms are located near the parking lot. The Superintendent of the site said they will also have the historic barn opened that day for our group. If anyone is interested, we could have lunch together after at the nearby Rocky Hill Tavern (let me know in the event chat). - thanks, Steve
