What we’re about
We started up the HOFNAR experience a while ago because we looked around and found all our friends getting married, having babies and then not wanting to do anything!
We still want to go out on the town. We still want to go away on cool holidays. We still want to do STUFF!
...and so the HOFNAR experience was born...
We run all kinds of stuff - days out biking in the forest, camping weekends, skiing and snowboarding holidays, learn to surf or kitesurf weekends, mountain biking and multi activity holidays in the French Alps, surf camps down on the Cornish coast.... all kinds of STUFF!
Most of the people that join us come along on their own. This is mostly because it's SO difficult getting your friends to do anything a bit different. Most of the people that come along on our events are single, in their twenties and thirties and come from all walks of life. The average age is about 29yrs old.
We also organise weekends and days out for private groups. So if you have a crew that fancies camping or messing about on speed boats get in touch. These events are perfect if you've been lumped with the task of arranging a stag or hen weekend.
So if you would like to hook up with like-minded active people, come along to any of our bits and pieces we have lined up. You'll be in good company and made very welcome.
Get in touch!

See all- Christmas skiing / snowboardingMorzine, MorzineGBP 100.00
Christmas day on the snow is quite magical.
Join us in the beautiful French Alps for a traditional, fun, laid-back, hilarious Christmas.
Our trip is based in Morzine and we have two chalets for you to choose from - Chalet Hubert is open to all, twin/double en suite rooms, refurbised recently and bang in the centre of town. Chalet Skade is limited to those in their 20s & 30s, is a 7 minute walk from town but has a log fire, sauna and hot tub in the garden!
The holiday runs from Saturday to Saturday - most fly into Geneva airport and then take one of the transfer vans up to resort.
Each day we'll be on the slopes. On Christmas Eve there's an epic fancy dress party at The Cavern live music bar (we include tickets).
On the big day itself, we'll go skiing / boarding as usual (maybe wearing a Santa hat?!) and your chalet team will knock up a traditional Christmas turkey dinner in the evening.
We'll pull crackers, play secret Santa, eat too much and maybe drink too much.
All kinds of people come away with us over Christmas; people who can't be with their family, people getting away from their family, people on the wrong side of the world to their family, couples who can't decide which family to go to... let us be your family!
It's a brilliant time to be away on the snow.
Click 'going' and we'll be in touch asap to give you the full run down. The price listed here is just the deposit. The price varies depending on room / chalet choice - but get in touch and we'll let you know all the options.

If you have never tried, or are a bit ‘rusty’ at skiing or snowboarding, these trips are for you!
> “These trips are designed to provide a ready-made support group of new friends to learn with, so you don’t feel you are holding anyone back or have to listen to seasoned skiers bore on about going off-piste…By the fourth day I understood why people become addicted to ski holidays.”
> The GuardianWe know that a skiing or snowboarding holiday can be a bit daunting for first-timers, so we put together a couple of special weeks for those who have never done it before, haven’t done it for a while, or just haven’t quite got the hang of it yet.
Morzine, in the French Alps, is a great place to learn, with beautiful scenery and a large range of wide open easy runs – and if it turns out you’re a natural, there’s a vast area of more challenging pistes.
Everyone will be on a similar level, which makes for a great group atmosphere and you can compare your turns and snowplough technique over a well-deserved glass of vin chaud at the end of the day at our cosy mountain chalet, or in one of the town’s bars.
Most of our guests come on their own and it’s a great way to meet new people and learn an essential (well, we think so) new skill.
Beg, steal or borrow some snow gear (here’s a ‘to bring list’), get yourself to Geneva airport and we’ll sort out everything else – lift pass, all equipment hire, lessons, as well as everything that is usually included in a HOFNAR holiday.A word of warning: you will become addicted to snow holidays!
