What we’re about

What We're About
We are a group created for the purpose of enhancing the Holland area's LGBTQ+ community with a monthly venue to meet others, cultivate relationships in a social setting, and provide each other with support and fun!
Who's Welcome?
Anyone from the LGBTQ+ community and their straight allies.
Who's Not Welcome?
Any persons who are not supportive of the LGBTQ+ community.
When and Where?
We meet at Shanghai Grill & Kpot on the second Wednesday of every month, in one of their private dining rooms. Shanghai is located at 661 E. 24th St., Ste. 230, Holland, MI.
Some Additional Thoughts
*Please RSVP so we can reserve enough space to accommodate all attendees.
*Treat everyone with respect.
*Be generous tippers. Shanghai is excited to host our Meetup! Let's treat their staff well.
*Drink responsibly.
*Do not bring or create drama or you will be asked to leave.
*Guests' emotional and physical safety is a very high priority for our group. If you are feeling unsafe during this event for any reason, please reach out to a host so we can address the issue.
A Note to Our Straight Allies: We're so happy to have you here with us! This meetup is a celebration of and for queer people, and as such, its purpose is not to be a space for straight allies to expect the LGBTQ+ community to focus on educating you about our community. Get to know those around you, listen to our stories and build meaningful friendships! If you do have further questions and would like to speak to an LGBTQ+ person about your questions, please connect with Amy about setting up a time and place to do so outside of the Meetup.
New to Our Meetup?
Please feel free to reach out to an organizer ahead of time. We'd love to connect with you and be a friendly face when you arrive at the Meetup.
