What we’re about
JRCC was formed in 1945 and is one of the oldest, continuing photography clubs in Virginia. Our mission is to offer programs and activities of interest to the beginning photographer as well as the professional. We have a number of professionals in our membership who contribute exceptional programs frequently for our membership and guests. We aspire to advance the art and craft of photography aesthetically and technically for all who wish to participate.
Note: Any photograph submitted to the club and / or posted by member, the JRCC retains the right to exhibit these photos only for the purpose these were submitted.
If you want to Join James River Camera Club just show up at any meetup posted and you can meet folks and decide if you would like it. We try to meet in person each month. Of course the Pandemic messed us up a bit and we did and still do some as ZOOM meetups.

See all- Blind Photo Critique and Potluck NightTemple Baptist Church, Newport News, VA
We are going to host a kind but honest critique of photos submitted by members. No more than 3 images can be submitted by a member for review. You can, of course, identify the photos as yours if you wish but there is no requirement you do so. We will be looking for an honest assessment of the technical and artistic elements of the photos.
We will have the first part of the meeting on Zoom. Here is the link for the meeting:

Additionally, this will be a potluck event. Members will be invited to bring a dish to share with other members.
